Hospital Posting, Ward-Round Discussion and Case Presentation

1. Aim

To study year 3 pharmacotherapeutics-ii clinical practical using supervised records and report the supported outcome. Actual case, sample, and result must be entered in the student record.

2. Requirements

Approved de-identified dataset or teaching case, current method, source identifiers, calibration and control records where relevant, graphing or calculation tool, supervisor, and privacy or safety procedure. Record the assigned sample and use approved software. Drug identity, dose, and acceptance criteria are to be recorded from the supervised de-identified case and current clinical source in the student record.

3. Theory

The syllabus requires hospital postings, clinical discussion, follow-up of allotted patients, case presentation on discharge, and at least 20 recorded cases. It does not specify disease cases or give patient data. A student can use a supervised de-identified record or an explicitly assumed teaching case to practice the sequence. This page is not a substitute for the required real posting and presentations.

4. Procedure

1. Confirm the syllabus entry, approved source, ethics or privacy requirements, and method.
2. Record actual labels, units, time points, controls, and missing information without guessing.
3. Work through the supervised case or dataset: For each actual supervised case, record diagnosis, medicine list, treatment goals, relevant monitoring, changes, discharge plan, and supervisor feedback. Protect confidentiality.
4. Separate raw observations from calculations and check method suitability.
5. Use verified formulae and local software only if the full dataset and method support them.
6. State the supported result, limitations, and every missing item as Record here.

5. Observation and calculation

Assumed values or observations for practice only: An assumed teaching case has an assumed change in therapy after an assumed review. No medicine or patient outcome is implied. All 20 actual case records remain to be entered in the student record locally. All invented inputs and outputs are assumed, not a patient result or laboratory instruction.

6. Output or final result

Provide a labelled ward-round case timeline and supervisor-reviewed conclusion. Record the supervised outcome here.

Teaching-lab safety: Clinical cases must be de-identified and supervised. Human or animal bioavailability work requires prior ethical authorization. No assumed example authorizes dosing or sampling. Software-dependent fitting belongs in the actual lab with its approved program.
